"Git Check for modifications" and Commit dialog runs batch files for unversioned or ignored files
Description:
When I am looking for changes I usually use "Git Check for modifications". But in case I have a new batch file (e.g. batch.cmd) and double click on it then it will start. I would expect to see it in some editor. The same is in case of committing new batch. If user double-click on it, he wants probably to see it - not start. If batch is only edited, then merge tool is opened as expected.
I understand that double-click on new files probably runs default program to open it but for some cases as batches this is not desired behavior.
To Reproduce:
- Create new batch file (e.g. batch.cmd or batch.bat) in some git repository
- Open "Git Check for modifications" window or open "Git commit" window
- Double-click on your newly created batch file
- Batch is started! I would expect to see it instead.
