Log messages with PGP signatures showing badly
By quy... on September 04, 2012 09:29 (imported from Google Code)
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Make a commit with GPG signature with standalone command-line interface:
git commit -S -m "this is commit"
You have to have installed GnuPG (PGP) to do this. - Right click in Explorer at repository folder, TortoiseGit->Show log
- Look at the message in the list.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output is commit message "this is commit".
I see instead "gpgsig -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE-----".
What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?
TortoiseGit 1.7.12.4
git version 1.7.10.msysgit.1
Windows 7 Ultimate SP 1 64-bit.
Please provide any additional information below.
String "gpgsig ..." likely to be the first string in expanded log message below in window. In the same time, standalone command-line tool never confuses with signatures and commit messages and "git log" prints only commit messages.
