Ability to ignore a folder in commit dialog

In the commit dialog, it is possible to quickly with a right-click ignore an unversionned file, but it's not possible to ignore a folder.
The idea there would be to have in that menu, in addition to ignore "foo.bar" and "*.bar", an ignore "whole folder where foo.bar is".
Currently to do that you have to navigate to the folder in the explorer and right clikc on the folder to ignore it, but it's a bit less convenient when working with tools or IDEs that create work, temporary or metadata subfolders that you don't want committed.
