"Export selection to.." fails to checkout files which names (or paths) renamed in working dir
By JBlackA... on September 18, 2013 05:31 (imported from Google Code)
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- create repository
- add file test.txt and commit
- modify test.txt and commit
- right-click on test.txt, TortoiseGit->Rename..., change name to test_renamed.txt, OK. (don't commit it !)
- open Git Show Log, select first(initial) commit, right-click on test.txt in bottom pane, Export selection to..., choose any location, OK
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
File test.txt should be successfully saved to chosen location.
Instead it produces error "Failed to checkout file "test.txt" of revision <XXX> to <chosen location>\test.txt" and creates empty folder named "test.txt" at <chosen location>.
What version of TortoiseGit and msysgit are you using? On
what operating system?
TortoiseGit 1.8.5.0 (C:\Program Files\TortoiseGit\bin)
git version 1.8.1.msysgit.1 (C:\Program Files (x86)\Git\bin)
Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
