Error when using TortoiseGit cli diff command with new added file in commit
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- run command diff on new added file.
/command:diff /startrev:(current revision) /endrev:(previous revision) /path:(file path)
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect output to be like compare in TortoiseGit, see picture here
Instead, an error says,
failed to checkout file "files/powershell/App_BuildAndDeploy.ps1" of revision 62f7869c1780e6501ec1c4dc0387f03efbde10da to "C:\Users\ME\AppData\Local\Temp\TortoiseGit\AppAAD3.tmp\App_BuildAndDeploy- 62f7869-left.ps1" libgit2 returned:the path 'App_BuildAndDeploy.ps1' does not exist in the given tree
What version of TortoiseGit and Git are you using? On what operating system?
TortoiseGit 1.8.16.0 (C:\Program Files\TortoiseGit\bin) git version 2.13.1.windows.2 (C:\Program Files\Git\bin; C:\Program Files\Git\mingw64; C:\ProgramData\Git\config)
