Log generates file stats from shown parent instead of actual parent
By atna... on March 02, 2011 01:28 (imported from Google Code)
What steps will reproduce the problem?
Preparation: (Create a test repo using the following commands)
mkdir foo && cd foo && git init
echo.>foo.txt && git add -A && git commit -m 1
mkdir bar && echo.>bar\bar.txt && git add -A && git commit -m 2
("foo" and "bar" below refer to the directories created by the commands above.)
- Show Log from foo's context-menu and check the file stats for commit "2".
- Run 'git commit --amend -C HEAD' to avoid TortoiseGit's cache.
- Show Log from bar's context-menu and check the file stats for commit "2".
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected (and result of Step 1):
Added: bar\bar.txt
Instead (result of Step 3):
Added: bar\bar.txt, foo.txt
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
TortoiseGit 1.6.5 32-bit
msysgit 1.7.4
Please provide any additional information below.
This is similar to issue #450 (closed) except the problem only occurs when commit "2" contains only additions.
