Settings / Git / Config / Edit global .gitconfig uses wrong path
By myNameIsProtec... on October 05, 2011 09:23 (imported from Google Code)
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Settings / Git / Config / Edit global .gitconfig will open a empty file
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to get the .gitignore file located at %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH% but i get the file at %USERPROFILE%.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Windows 7 (in a domain)
TortoiseGit 1.6.5.0
git version 1.7.4.msysgit.0
Please provide any additional information below.
Settings / Git / Config / Edit global .gitconfig will open a empty file. If you run "git config --global -l" you see the content from %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH% .gitconfig. Means msysgit is using a different file than tortoise git uses to display it i a editor.
