Performing diff on unchanged file
By ohan... on October 25, 2011 09:08 (imported from Google Code)
What steps will reproduce the problem?
- Right click on an unchanged versioned file in Explorer
- Select TortoiseGit -> Diff
3.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: A diff window with no changes
Instead, an empty temp file is created and the diff is between the empty file and the unchanged file.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
TortoiseGit 1.7.3
Windows 7 64bit
Please provide any additional information below.
It seems like a stupid issue, but sometimes an unchanged file gets an overlay of a changed file (I don't know why, another bug?) and that's when performing a diff should show the real diff.
